MMOTCG

What is a MMOTCG?

MMOTCGs are also known as CCGs (literally Collectible Card Games). They are card games to collect or trade. A MMOTCG is an increasingly popular strategy game. This type of MMO is an excellent alternative to the basic MMORTS strategy game as it offers a new way of playing strategically online. In addition, this genre is applicable to a large scale of gamers. This genre is similar to MMOCDs.

In a MMOTCG, gamers must equip themselves with various cards and build up a collection, before using them to duel with other gamers. Each gamer will have to engage in strategic battles using their cards to progress or acquire rewards. The world of this genre is generally fantasy and its games are mostly distributed on computer, internet or mobile. Some of these games are very present inesport, as they are very competitive.

The acronym MMOTCG is still unknown to many people, even to gamers. Massively multiplayer online trading card games were born around 2006 with the title Urban Rivals designed by the Boostr group, despite the fact that there were games of the same genre in the past. The word MMOTCG then developed greatly with the appearance in 2014 of the title Hearthstone, the card game signed by the Blizzard group. Today, there are many different MMOTCGs. In a MMOTCG game, the gamer will have a deck of cards that he or she can improve by collecting or acquiring other cards. These cards can then be used to fight duels against other gamers in the community.
